Sheet Metal Bending and Folding with Industrial Vertical Integration

EMAG Production manufactures complex sheet metal assemblies for customers who need more than just a single folded part. Our focus is on technically sophisticated components such as machine enclosures, housings, automation conveyors, electrical cabinets, machine bases, and welded assemblies. We combine CNC laser cutting, sheet metal bending, edge folding, welding, surface finishing, powder coating, and assembly into a seamless manufacturing process.

Sheet metal bending for complex assemblies begins with precision edge bending - and doesn’t end until the component has been inspected and is ready for assembly

Sheet metal bending requires repeatable angles, clean radii, stable edges, and a component design optimized for manufacturing. At EMAG Production, experienced specialists perform machining on sheet metal parts for one-offs, small series, and complex assemblies. The manufacturing is designed to meet high technical requirements – from simple folded parts to large, multi-part structures.

Our press brake technology enables precision forming even for complex geometries. A Trumpf TruBend 8400 with 4,000 kN of pressing force and a bending length of 4,420 mm is available for large-format components. In addition, three Trumpf TruBend 5170 press brakes, each with 1,700 kN of pressing force and a bending length of 3,230 mm, are in use. This allows for the efficient and reliable production of components of various sizes.

From blanking to the assembled component

A major advantage for our customers is our integrated process chain. After laser cutting, the sheet metal is bent, subjected to welding, surface-treated, and pre-assembled as needed. This reduces coordination losses, streamlines technical coordination, and allows changes to be integrated into the process more quickly.

This level of vertical integration is particularly crucial for machine enclosures, protective housings, casings, and load-bearing sheet metal structures. This is because each component must not only be dimensionally accurate but also function properly within the overall system: drilling patterns, mounting surfaces, weld seams, coatings, and mounting points must all fit together precisely.

Technical advantages for external customers

Quality that is evident in the assembly

Precision bending is only part of the quality equation. The key lies in the interplay of all process steps. That is why we inspect functionally critical dimensions, manufacture components with full traceability, and design assemblies with their subsequent installation in mind. Our experience in manufacturing complex machine components ensures that external customers, too, benefit from robust, practical, and durable sheet metal solutions.

Sheet metal bending at EMAG Production means: precision bends, stable assemblies, and a manufacturing partner that masters the entire sheet metal processing chain.
