CNC Contract Grinding

EMAG Production specializes in precision machining of complex metal components. We combine modern CNC grinding technology, experienced production planning, qualified specialists, and robust quality assurance into a stable manufacturing process. CNC contract grinding is particularly well-suited for components in the fields of mechanical engineering, machine tool manufacturing, drive technology, and special-purpose machine construction, where ground surfaces perform a direct function.

As a contract manufacturer with a high degree of vertical integration, EMAG Production manufactures components and assemblies in-house and covers technologies such as turning, grinding, gear cutting, and other precision processes.

Surface grinding

In CNC surface grinding, we perform the machining of functional surfaces with high precision. With the ELB-SCHLIFF SWP 320/150, we can achieve grinding lengths of up to 3,200 mm, grinding widths of up to 1,500 mm, a grinding height of up to 850 mm, and a table load capacity of up to 4,000 kg. This makes EMAG Production the right partner even for large-format mechanical engineering components, base bodies, plates, slides, and complex parts with demanding reference surfaces.

Cylindrical grinding

CNC cylindrical grinding is the right choice when diameter, roundness, cylindricity, and surface quality must be reliably maintained. Our cylindrical grinding machine can machine workpieces with a grinding length of 2,000 mm, a center distance of 260/310 mm, and a maximum workpiece weight of 1,200 kg.

For larger and more complex grinding tasks, the EMAG RB 320 complements our machine fleet. It offers a grindable diameter of up to 700 mm, a center distance of up to 2,000 mm, and a workpiece weight of up to 3,000 kg between centers, as well as an external and an internal grinding spindle.

Hirth-tooth grinding

Hirth tooth profiles place the highest demands on part accuracy, flank quality, and flatness. Hirth tooth profile grinding produces form-fit flat-tooth gears that can transmit high torques and enable repeatable positioning of components.

Quality assurance for every function-critical dimension

CNC contract grinding doesn’t end at the machine. Verified proof of the required quality is crucial. EMAG Production has a state-of-the-art metrology lab, documented measurement processes, and qualified specialists. Function-critical dimensions are inspected; measurement reports document the process from manufacturing through final assembly.

The quality assurance team uses tactile coordinate measuring technology in the climate-controlled measurement room and can inspect small prototypes as well as large and heavy steel or cast components.
