Modern machines with high-performance features, long travel ranges, and high torque are available for contract manufacture. On WFL Mill-Turn machines, turning and milling operations are combined into a single process. This reduces the number of setups, improves dimensional accuracy, and enables a cost-effective production even for complex components.

When it comes to contract manufacture, many of our customers are not looking for a mere machining service, but rather a manufacturing partner. EMAG Production combines turning with complementary processes such as milling, drilling, grinding, nitriding, sheet metal fabrication, and assembly. This allows for shorter supply chains, fewer interfaces, and the production of components with high repeatability.
The machine park includes, among other things, boring mills, gantry milling machines, 5-axis machining systems, turning and milling centers, as well as grinding machines and a nitriding system. This diversity is particularly advantageous when components require multiple manufacturing steps, but must still be produced with clear process accountability.
Quality assurance with modern measurement technology
Precision isn’t just achieved at the end of the manufacturing process. That’s why quality assurance at EMAG Production is firmly integrated into the entire process. In the climate-controlled measuring room, workpieces are inspected using tactile coordinate measuring technology. Measurements based on drawings or CAD data models are just as much a part of the service scope as documented inspection processes and contract measurements.
For larger components, measurement capabilities are available for workpieces up to 3,000 mm x 1,200 mm x 1,000 mm in size and with a total weight of up to 5 metric tons. The coordinate measuring system operates with high accuracy, active scanning, and an automatic probe-changing system.
